Akash Renuka Ashok: AI Engineer in Melbourne, Australia
Akash Renuka Ashok is a Melbourne-based AI engineer and the Co-Founder and CTO of PawHealthAI, a pet-care product, specialising in agentic AI, retrieval, AI evaluation and safety guardrails for trust-sensitive domains.
Akash Renuka Ashok is an AI engineer based in Melbourne, Australia. As Co-Founder and CTO of PawHealthAI he takes LLM systems from problem scoping through architecture, guardrails, evaluation, deployment and post-launch ownership. He is its sole product-design and technical owner. PawHealthAI has 189 registered users as of October 2026, primarily in Australia; registrations do not measure active usage.
He also works as an AI Compliance Officer in AI solutions engineering at Zipline.io, where he is the technical counterpart to 6+ enterprise aged-care customers and has tuned an AI document-analysis system across 1,000+ compliance documents. Previously he built AI automation for finance and document workflows at Kodora.ai, and he mentors postgraduate software engineering teams at the University of Melbourne.
His work centres on agentic workflows, retrieval and context assembly, AI evaluation, non-diagnostic safety guardrails and product design for AI in domains where users need to trust the answer.
Roles Akash Renuka Ashok works in

In his own words
I build AI-powered products that help people make sense of uncertainty, and I turn ambiguous, manual, or high-friction processes into structured systems people can rely on.
As Co-Founder and CTO of PawHealthAI, I take LLM systems from problem scoping through architecture, guardrails, evaluation, deployment and post-launch ownership. I am the sole product-design and technical owner of a pet-care platform with 189 registered users as of October 2026, primarily in Australia. Registrations are separate from active usage. That end-to-end ownership shows up in how I approach agentic workflows, retrieval, and AI evaluation in trust-sensitive domains.
I care deeply about usefulness. If a feature does not make someone feel more confident, calmer, or clearer, it does not belong.
What I Care About Building
I care about building products that people can trust when they are unsure, stressed, or overwhelmed.
In many real-world situations, users are not looking for more options or smarter algorithms. They want clarity. They want guidance that feels supportive rather than demanding. I am especially drawn to problems where good design and thoughtful systems can reduce anxiety and help people make better decisions.
Because of this, I am selective about what I build. I value usefulness over novelty, clarity over cleverness, and long-term reliability over short-term excitement.
If a system cannot earn trust, it is not finished.
